Our business, Kbb Nuts Pvt Ltd, is based at B-57 on Lawrence Road in the Industrial Area. Lawrence Road is one of those places that is always humming with activity, especially with all the food-related businesses around here. We deal with nuts and dry fruits, which means our warehouse is always full of crates and bags from all over. The smell of almonds and cashews is pretty much a constant thing in our office. The building itself is a standard industrial shed that we have converted to suit our needs. It’s got high ceilings and lots of storage space, which is necessary when you have tons of nuts coming in. We don't have any fancy reception area or plush carpets. It’s mostly concrete floors and metal racks. The team here spends a lot of time sorting through the stock and making sure everything is stored properly so it stays edible and fresh. Traffic on Lawrence Road can be a nightmare during the day, so we try to get our loading and unloading done early if we can. We are just a group of people who have been in the dry fruit trade for a long time. We know the suppliers and we know the customers, and that’s enough for us. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just sell nuts. Sometimes the work is repetitive, but it’s a living and we know the business well.
