Sector 6 in Rohini is where you’ll find us. B S A Hospital is a big part of the daily life around here. It’s a lot of concrete and busy roads, especially when the sun is out. We get people coming in from all the nearby sectors. The building is pretty large, and it takes a while to learn your way around all the different wings. We have these long shifts that seem to blend into one another. The chairs in the lobby are usually occupied by families waiting for news. It’s a lot of standing and walking for the nurses and doctors. We don’t really do anything for the sake of looking good; everything is there because it needs to be. The floors are kept clean, but they show the wear and tear of thousands of feet every week. We have a small area where we keep our bags and eat our tiffin. Most of the talk is about the weather or how long the commute took. Sometimes the water cooler makes a loud glugging sound that makes everyone laugh. It’s those small things that keep us going. We don’t have fancy brochures or anything like that. People just know we’re here in Rohini when they need us. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just try to get through the patient list and make sure everyone gets seen. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy.
