Alokik Art Studio

You can find Alokik Art Studio over in Bapa Nagar on Lawrence Road. We are set up in the C-6/99-100 block. It is a bit of a maze back here if you are not used to these streets. The studio is where we spend most of our waking hours. There is usually some paint or material scattered around because we are always in the middle of a project. It is not one of those sterile galleries you see in the posh parts of the city. This is a working space. We get our hands dirty every single day. Some days the light is great coming through the windows, and other days we have to rely on the old tube lights. We’ve been at this location for several years now. People sometimes stop by just to see what we are working on. We do not mind the company. It gets loud outside with the traffic from Lawrence Road, but inside we just focus on the work. We handle various types of art and design tasks that come our way. We are not trying to be the biggest studio out there. We just want to do work that feels right. The walls are covered in sketches and old ideas that never quite made it. It’s a bit messy, but that is just the way we like to work. It feels real. Sometimes we stay late when the inspiration is there or a deadline is looming near. It is our second home.
