The Computer Shop

Our shop is at H. No. L16 in Ekta Nagar, which is in the Housing Board section of Mapusa. We’ve been in this part of Bardez, Goa, for quite a long time now. We call it The Computer Shop because we didn't see the need for a complicated name. It’s a straightforward place where we fix laptops and desktops. The building is a regular house, which makes the whole thing feel more relaxed and local. We have shelves filled with old monitors and spare parts that we’ve collected over the years. It’s not a shiny showroom with new gadgets on display. Most of our day is spent at a workbench with a soldering iron or a screwdriver. The neighbors in Ekta Nagar often drop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about their home internet. We like being part of the Housing Board community because everyone knows each other. The pace of life in Mapusa is just right for us. We don’t have a big staff, so if we’re out on a delivery or a home visit, the shop might be locked up for a bit. It’s a small, family-style operation. We don’t use any corporate jargon or make big promises. We just look at the machines people bring us and see if we can get them running again. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy and we enjoy the daily routine here.
