Calangute Dental Clinic

Getting to work at Venor Plaza can be a bit of a trek when the traffic around the Calangute Bus Stand gets heavy. Our spot is on the first floor, VF-F10, right in the middle of Naikawaddo. From the window, you can see the crowds heading toward the beach or the temple. It gets loud out there, especially during the peak season when everyone is visiting Calangute. Inside the clinic, it’s mostly just the sound of the equipment and the occasional bus horn from the street. The waiting area is small, just enough for a few people to sit while they wait for their names to be called. We have some old magazines on the table, though nobody really looks at them much these days since everyone is on their phones. Being near the Shantadurga Temple means we get a lot of local regulars who have been coming to this plaza for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’re clean enough. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just how things are here. We spend most of our time cleaning tools and making sure the chairs are ready for the next person. It’s a straightforward job in a busy part of town. When we lock up at night, the lights of the plaza are still glowing, and the area is still buzzing with people looking for dinner.
