Anjuna Bakehouse Private Limited

We are based out of house number 655 in Prais Waddo, right in the heart of Anjuna. This area is known for its history and the way people live here is quite laid back. We started Anjuna Bakehouse as a private limited company because we wanted to do something local. The building is an old one, typical of this part of Goa, and it has a lot of character. We spend most of our mornings getting things ready. The air smells like salt and earth, especially when the breeze comes off the ocean. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one. Anjuna can get very loud and busy during the peak season, but Prais Waddo stays a bit more grounded. We know most of the people on our street. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps and watch the bikes go by. It’s a lot of work running a bakehouse, more than people think. You’re always cleaning or checking the ovens or looking at flour bags. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It's just us making sure things stay how they should be. We deal with the usual stuff like power cuts and water issues, but that's part of living in Goa. We like it here and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else. It’s just home for us, and we keep things simple every day.
