Lourdes Bakers Caterers

At Lourdes Bakers Caterers, we spend most of our time in the Tembi area of Raia. It is a quiet part of Raja, Raia, and we like it that way. Baking and catering keep us on our feet from the crack of dawn. You can usually smell the bread if you are passing by early enough. We have been doing this for years, and our hands always seem to have a bit of flour on them. It is a family business, so you will see the kids or the cousins helping out when things get busy. We don't have a polished showroom. It is more of a working space where things are stacked up and ready to go out. Raia is a place where everyone knows each other, so we don't need to do much talking about ourselves. We just do the work. The kitchen gets pretty hot, and the ovens are always running. We make traditional things because that is what we know. Sometimes we run out of things or the delivery bike has a flat tire, but we manage. It is not a fancy corporate life, it is just making food for the people around Tembi and the rest of the village. We take pride in our work but we don't go around bragging about it. It is just what we do to get by and help out with local celebrations when families need us to cook for them.
