Alpha Industries

We are over at Alpha Industries in the Coalvole Industrial Estate. Our spot is at S-13 and it’s been that way for a good while now. If you know Mapusa, you know how it gets during the monsoon season when the rain just doesn't stop hitting the metal roof of the sheds here. It gets really loud inside when the machines are running and the rain is coming down at the same time. We usually get in early before the heat starts to pick up too much in Goa. The estate is a busy place with trucks coming in and out through the day, mostly blocking the narrow roads near the unit. There is a small tea stall just down the road where most of us go around eleven to get a quick break and a bit of a snack. It isn't a fancy setup here at all. We have our main work area and a small corner for the paperwork that always seems to pile up no matter how much we do. The address is 403521 if you are looking for the pin code on a map. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back on. It is just part of working in this part of Mapusa. Most of the guys here have been with us for years and they know the routine of S-13 by heart now. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day.
