Maitri Astro Point

Our small spot here in Yamuna Vihar is at C 4 227. It is a quiet street for the most part, except for when the kids are playing outside in the evenings. Inside, it’s mostly just books, charts, and some old chairs for people to sit on while they wait. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so most people in the block know where to find us. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls. It’s more of a place where you can sit down and talk about what’s going on in your life. We spend a lot of time looking at dates and times, scribbling notes on pads of paper that are always running out. The fan overhead makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Some days are very busy with people coming in one after another, and other days we just sit and read through our old texts. We keep a pot of tea going most of the morning. The walls have a few calendars pinned up and some pictures that have been there since we moved in. It’s a simple setup. We don’t do a lot of fancy stuff here. People come because they know us or someone told them about the place. We just try to be helpful and listen to what people are worried about. It’s a steady life here in Delhi, and we just take each day as it comes.
