Ved Mittal And Associates is on the second floor of BU - 211 in Pitampura. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, which is good exercise for the day. The office overlooks a bit of the Pitampura area, and you can see the tops of the trees and other buildings from up here. Being on the second floor helps keep some of the street dust out. Inside, it is a pretty typical setup for an accounting firm. We have several desks pushed together and lots of wiring for the computers and printers. The space is filled with the sound of keys tapping and the occasional phone ringing. We spend the bulk of our time checking over figures and making sure the tax filings are ready before the various deadlines hit. It is a lot of looking at screens and then looking at paper documents. We have a small area where we keep the kettle for making coffee and tea. The shelves are packed with box files from different years. We try to keep things in order, but during the busy months, it can look a bit messy with all the open folders. Most of us have lived in Delhi our whole lives, so we are used to the pace here. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down.
