Sindhu Machinery House

Sindhu Machinery House is right in the middle of Chawri Bazar at number 377, near the Chitla Gate. If you have ever walked through Chawri Bazar, you know how packed the lanes are and how many people are moving goods on those little carts. It is an old part of Delhi and our shop has been part of it for a long time. We deal with machinery and all sorts of equipment. Our space is usually full of heavy things and different parts, so it is never really quiet or empty. A lot of our time is spent helping customers find specific parts for their own shops or factories. Sometimes we feel like we are running out of space, but we always manage to fit everything in. The Chitla Gate is the easiest way to find us if you get turned around in the narrow streets. The noise of the market is constant, with horns and people shouting, but it is just normal to us now. We are not a corporate office with glass walls and air conditioning; we are a real machinery house where actual work happens. We open up every morning and just take things as they come. Keeping track of all the stock is hard work, but that is how it is in Chawri Bazar. You have to be quick and you have to know where everything is kept. We wouldn't change our spot for anything because this is where the action is.
