Shri Amba Textiles Private Limited is located right in the heart of old Delhi. We are at 929, Ground Floor, in Kucha Qabil Attar. If you know where the Town Hall is in Chandni Chowk, we are quite close to that. This area is incredibly crowded and loud, but that is just the way it has always been for generations. You have to walk through narrow lanes filled with rickshaws and people carrying heavy loads on their backs. Our shop is on the ground floor, which makes it a little easier for moving goods in and out of the store. It’s a very old building, and you can feel the history in the walls and the ceiling. We have been doing textiles here for years, following in the footsteps of those who were here before us. There is a lot of dust and the air is thick, but the energy of the market keeps us going through the long days. We don't have much space, so every inch of the shop is stacked with fabric of all kinds. Sometimes we have to move ten boxes just to find one specific roll of cloth someone asked for. It is a bit chaotic, but we have our own system that works for us. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done by hand in ledger books, just keeping track of things simply.
