Sanjeev Store

Sanjeev Store is situated at number 144 in Chandni Chowk. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded and chaotic it can be. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It is a small space, but we manage to fit a lot inside. We’ve been here for many years, through all the heat and the rain. The building is old, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it has character. We sell everyday items to the people who live and work around Chandni Chowk. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start our day by sweeping the front step. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting for customers, but there is always someone passing by. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on a couple of old ceiling fans to keep the air moving during the summer months. It can get pretty hot. We know the other shopkeepers on our block well, and we often share tea in the afternoons. Our store doesn't have any big signs or bright lights to attract people. Most of our customers come here because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s a simple business without any frills. We just try to keep the shelves stocked and the prices fair for everyone. Sometimes we have to move things around just to make room for a new shipment of goods.
