Jumbo Impex

Pratap Nagar is a busy place, and our spot at 10723/13 is right in the middle of all that activity. At Jumbo Impex, we don't really have a showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a working warehouse where things are constantly being moved from one side to the other. We deal with a lot of imports and exports, so there’s always a lot of paperwork involving customs and shipping schedules spread out on the desks. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from the pallets being dragged around. We have a couple of heavy-duty fans because it gets really stuffy in here during the afternoon heat. Most of the day is spent on the phone or on the computer, tracking where containers are and making sure things arrive when they are supposed to. Sometimes there are delays at the port, and those are the days when everyone is a bit stressed out. We have a small area where we keep a stove for making tea, and that’s where we usually take our breaks. It’s a very practical kind of job. There’s no fluff or corporate talk here. We just deal with the reality of moving goods across borders. The street outside is always full of rickshaws and delivery vans, so getting things in and out can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. But we’ve been doing this long enough to know how to handle the chaos of the local market comfortably.
