Sagar Uniwears

You’ll find us right in the middle of the Chappal Market at Sadar Bazar. Specifically, we are at 441-B on the first floor in Katra Nabi Bux, Gali Niwar Wali. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets. We are right in the thick of it. Our shop handles uniwears and other types of clothing. Being on the first floor helps a little bit with the noise from the street, but not much. We have stacks of uniforms piled high on the shelves. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful where we step. We spend our days measuring fabric and talking to customers who come in from the market. The stairs up to our place are narrow and people are always moving past with boxes. We’ve been here for years, and we know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our life. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that work hard all day. We do our own bookkeeping and handle the sales ourselves. There’s no big corporate structure here. It’s just a family-run kind of thing where everyone pitches in. When the market is busy, we barely have time to sit down for lunch. That’s just how it goes in Sadar Bazar. We keep working until the sun goes down and then we head home. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us going. Every day brings something new to deal with.
