Om Prakash The Printers

Shop number 45 on the ground floor of Vyapar Kendra is where we stay most of the day. We’re pretty close to the Shani Mandir in Sushant Lok Phase I. It’s a good spot for us because people come to the market for all sorts of groceries and errands and then realize they need some printing done. We have our machines set up right there in the shop. It’s not a huge space by any means, so things can feel a bit cramped when we have a big order of posters or local newsletters to finish. The smell of fresh ink and warm paper is something you just get used to after working here for a week. We do everything from simple black and white photocopies to much bigger jobs for local businesses. Om Prakash has been a name around here for a long time, and we just keep the daily work going. We don’t have a website with fancy graphics; we just talk to the people who walk through the door. Sometimes the machines act up or a stubborn paper jam takes an hour to fix, and we just have to deal with it and move on. We keep a stack of old samples on the side for people to flip through if they aren't sure what they want. It’s a very straightforward business. We show up in the morning, roll up the shutters, and start on the first job. By the time we close, the floor is usually covered in paper scraps.
