Mutton Chicken Shop

Over here at Kingsway Camp on Edward Line 15, we spend most of our hours dealing with the daily supply of mutton and chicken. It is a very straightforward kind of place. We get the birds and the meat delivered early in the morning, and the chopping work starts almost immediately after we open. The shop itself isn't huge, but it serves the families living around Edward Line quite well. People in this part of Delhi usually know exactly what they want. They tell us how they want the pieces cut for a specific curry or a fry, and we just listen and do the work. It can be a messy job sometimes, but someone has to do it, and we have been doing it for years. We don’t have any fancy signs or big slogans. There is just a board with the name on it so people know where we are. The floor stays wet because we are constantly washing it down to keep things as tidy as possible. We often end up talking to the regulars about the weather or how the prices of things are changing lately. That is just how life goes in the shop. Sometimes a customer is in a real rush, so we try to move a bit faster. Other times, we just chat while the weighing scale balances out. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city, just a reliable one for this specific corner of the camp. You come in, get your meat, and head home.
