If you go to the first floor of 4952 in Hauz Qazi, you’ll find us. Mahalakshmi Embroidery Private Limited has been in this part of South Delhi for quite a while. Hauz Qazi is a place with a lot of history, and it’s always crowded with people and carts. Our workspace is right in the middle of all that action. As the name suggests, we do embroidery work. This means our days are spent looking at needles, threads, and complicated designs. It’s detailed work that takes a lot of patience. Sometimes your eyes get tired by the end of the day, but seeing a finished piece makes it worth it. We don’t have a sleek corporate office. It’s more of a workshop where things actually get made. There are threads everywhere and the machines have a specific hum that we’ve all grown used to. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us. We’ve stayed in this 110006 area because it’s where the trade happens. It’s not always the cleanest or the quietest spot, but it’s where we belong. We just keep our heads down and focus on the stitching. It’s a simple life, and we take pride in the stuff we produce right here in the heart of Delhi. It isn't always easy, but it keeps us going every day without needing any fancy slogans.
