We’ve been here at 546 Kucha Pati Ram in Bhagirath Palace for a long time now. Kuremal Mahavir Prasad Kulfi Wale isn’t some fancy new shop, it’s just where we make our kulfi every day. The lanes here are narrow and busy, but people find us. My grandfather started things and we just kept going. We use real fruit and milk, nothing complicated. Sometimes the crowd gets a bit much, especially in the heat, but that is how it goes. You won't find flashy signs here. Just the same freezer and the same way of doing things we've had for years. It gets loud outside with the rikshaws and people passing by constantly. We spend most of our morning getting the mixtures ready. It's hard work and the kitchen stays hot. We don't really do big advertisements or anything. Most people come because their parents came here before them. We sit here and serve whoever walks in. Sometimes we run out of certain flavors by evening if the day is busy. That’s just part of life in Old Delhi. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. If you’re looking for us, just ask around the Bhagirath Palace area, most people know the spot. It’s a simple life selling cold treats in a dusty city. We stay busy with the prep and cleaning up. It's just us doing what we know how to do.
