Our shop is right by Panjab Sarif in the Kashmere Gate area. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded it gets with all the vehicles and people moving around. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and getting the tools ready for whatever comes in. It is usually a lot of grease and the smell of engine oil around here. We work on different types of motors and help people get back on the road. The space is a bit small but we make it work. Sometimes we sit outside for a quick break when the sun isn't too hot. There is a lot of noise from the street, but that is just part of being near the gate. We aren't big on fancy talk or decorating the place. The floor usually has some stains and there are spare parts sitting in the corners. It is a practical place. Most of our regulars have been coming to see us for years. They know where to find us. We just focus on the engines and the mechanical bits. Dealing with traffic to get parts delivered can be a headache sometimes. But we stay busy enough. It's honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until evening. We don't change much, just keep doing what we know how to do. Even when it’s raining, we are usually here under the roof working on cars.
