Jyotish Surya Prakash Shandilya

Being right at the Burari Village Main Chowk means we see everyone coming and going throughout the day. Jyotish Surya Prakash Shandilya is easy to spot if you are looking for it near the corner. The shop is small and stays pretty busy because of the location. We have a couple of wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. It gets a bit crowded on weekends when everyone is out doing their shopping at the market nearby. I've lived in this village my whole life, so I know most of the families who come through the door. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just do things the old way with pen and paper. The walls have some pictures of different deities and a lot of calendars hanging up. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the books we have piled up on the floor. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the chowk gets too loud with the rikshaws. It is just a place to get some advice and see what the planets are doing. We don't try to be anything we aren't. If the chair is empty, you just come in and sit down. My nephew helps out sometimes when I have too much paperwork to handle. It is a simple life and we like it that way.
