Jones Lang Lasalle Meghraj, New Delhi is based out of Ishwar Colony, specifically number 26. We are pretty close to Kalyan Vihar, which makes it a fairly central spot for this part of North Delhi. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so our office feels very much like a part of the local community. It’s not one of those glass skyscrapers in Connaught Place; it’s a more grounded, practical building. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know us. Inside, the office is pretty basic with everything we need to keep the business running. We spend a lot of time on the phone and looking over documents. The streets outside can get pretty cramped with cars and rickshaws, especially during peak hours, but it’s all part of the Delhi experience. We don't put on any airs here. We just come in, do the work, and deal with whatever challenges the day brings. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall down the street while we discuss the latest property trends. It’s a small team and we all pitch in on different tasks. There’s always something to do, whether it’s filing or heading out to see a site. We like the vibe of Ishwar Colony because it feels real and unpretentious, just like the way we try to run things. It is just a normal group of people working hard to get things done right.
