Jagdamba Kiryana Store

Jagdamba Kiryana Store is located right by the Old Bus Stop in Badli Village. It is a simple spot where we sell the basic things people need for their kitchens and homes. You can find bags of flour, jars of spices, and stacks of soap bars on the shelves. Because we are so close to the bus stop, there is always a lot of dust flying around from the road, so we spend a good chunk of our time just wiping down the counters and the packets. It’s a small shop, and the aisles are pretty narrow, so if two people are standing in one, it feels crowded. We have been in Badli Village for a long time, and we know most of the people who walk through the door. Some come in every single day for just one or two items. We don’t have a computer system or anything like that; we just write things down or remember them. The ceiling fan hums all day, and we usually have a small radio playing in the background. It’s a quiet kind of life, even with the buses rumbling by outside. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow, which they usually don’t mind. It’s just a neighborhood store doing its part in the village. We just keep things stocked as best as we can.
