Ice Valley Ice Cream Parlour

Ice Valley Ice Cream Parlour sits over in Shalimar Bagh, specifically in BN Block 11. It is a small shop, but we have a lot of freezers hummings away all day and night. During the summer months, the place is always full of kids from the neighborhood who have sticky hands and loud voices. We spend a lot of our time just mopping the floor because ice cream always seems to find its way onto the tiles somehow. The BN Block area is mostly families, so we see the same faces every evening after dinner. We have a couple of benches outside where people sit when it gets too crowded inside. Sometimes the freezer lids get stuck or we have a bit of a mess with the toppings, but we just wipe it up and keep going. It isn't a fancy place with lots of decorations; it is just a simple parlour where the lights are bright and the cold air hits you when you walk in. We stay open pretty late because that is when people in Shalimar Bagh like to go for a walk. The staff is just a few of us who know where everything is kept in the back. We don't really do much talking, we just scoop and serve and try to keep the line moving when it gets long on Sunday nights.
