Greens Kitchen

Greens Kitchen is located at 1159 Baradari, right behind the old Novelty Cinema in Delhi 6. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how packed and narrow the streets can be. It is a place full of history and constant movement. Our kitchen is right in the heart of it all. It’s an old building that has seen a lot of years go by. Inside, it is usually quite loud with the sound of chopping, water running, and pans clattering on the stove. We are just a small group of people who enjoy working with food. We don't have any big corporate structure or fancy uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable and get to work. The smells from the kitchen usually fill the whole alleyway, which we kind of like. We buy our supplies from the local markets nearby because it’s easier than dealing with big distributors. Some days the heat in the kitchen is pretty intense, but we just open the windows and keep going. We don’t have a marketing plan or any big slogans. We just have a daily list of things that need to be prepped and cooked. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it feels good to be part of this community. We are just regular people in a busy part of Delhi, making food and trying to keep everything running smoothly one day at a time.
