Gopal Dry Fruits

Gopal Dry Fruits is right in the middle of Khari Baoli, at number 6512/13 near the Fateh Puri chowk. If you have ever been to Khari Baoli, you know the air is always thick with the smell of spices and nuts. Our shop is packed with bags and boxes of all kinds of dry fruits. It is a very old part of town, so the building is a bit cramped and the stairs are narrow. We don't have any modern branding or a sleek interior. Instead, we have wooden shelves that have been there forever and floors that have seen thousands of footsteps. We spend our day weighing out almonds, cashews, and raisins for people who squeeze through the crowded lanes to reach us. Being near Fateh Puri chowk means there is never a quiet moment. There are always carts moving past and people shouting. We’ve gotten used to the chaos over the years. We just focus on the task at hand, which is usually moving sacks around or cleaning up the bits of shell that fall on the floor. It is a very hands-on kind of job. We are just a small part of this massive market, and we like it that way. No big stories or corporate talk here, just a lot of hard work in a very busy, very old part of Delhi. It gets tiring but we keep going anyway because this is what we know.
