Goel United Spice Trading

We have been running Goel United Spice Trading from the 4th floor of B-990 in Shastri Nagar for a long time now. It is a bit of a climb when the elevator is down, which happens more than we would like, but we are used to it. The whole floor usually smells like turmeric and dried chilies, which gets into your clothes after a while. We spend our mornings mostly checking the bags that come in from the suppliers. It’s not a fancy office at all. There are stacks of burlap sacks everywhere and a couple of old desks where we keep the ledgers. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the business and the local market. Dealing with spices is a dusty job, and there is always someone sneezing around here. We just try to get the orders packed up and ready for the tempo drivers to pick up in the afternoon. Sometimes the street downstairs gets so crowded that the trucks can't even get close to the building. We just deal with those things as they come. It is a simple life of trading and keeping track of the prices, which seem to change every other day. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking. We are just local people selling spices in a busy part of the city. We know our neighbors and we have our tea at the same shop every day. It’s a lot of manual work but it keeps us busy enough.
