Our office is in the basement at E/264, Khasra No. 532, which is up in North West Delhi. Being in a basement means we don’t get much natural light, so we have to rely on the overhead tubes quite a bit. It’s a bit cooler down here during the hot Delhi summers, which is a plus. We handle international business matters, so there’s a lot of logistics to deal with on a daily basis. The space is mostly filled with metal filing cabinets and some sturdy desks. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads, but we still get the occasional noise from the street above. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and a microwave for lunch. It’s a very basic setup, nothing that would impress a CEO, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time on our computers tracking shipments and talking to people in different time zones. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to wait for it to come back before we can finish our emails. It’s just a small team of us working here. We aren’t trying to be fancy; we just want to make sure the work is finished on time. The floor is a bit uneven in places, but we’ve put some mats down. It’s just our regular workplace.
