Bhatiya Meva Wala

If you ever find yourself in Fatehpuri, look for us at 6519. Bhatiya Meva Wala has been a part of this old city chaos for a long time. Fatehpuri is a place that never really sleeps, and the smell of spices and dry fruits is everywhere. We deal with almonds, cashews, raisins, and all sorts of things like that. Our shop isn't huge, but we pack it full of sacks and boxes. Every morning we open the shutters and start weighing out portions. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, moving those big bags around. The air in the shop always smells a bit sweet and earthy because of the meva. We have regular people who have been coming to us for years, and they usually just stand on the street and shout their order because it’s too crowded to come inside. It’s a noisy life here with the rickshaws and the loaders constantly moving past our door. Sometimes it’s so loud we have to shout to be heard. We don’t really use fancy computers or anything; we still mostly use paper and pens for our notes. It gets really crazy during the festival season, and we barely have time to eat lunch. But that’s the way Fatehpuri is. We’re just one small part of this big, busy market, doing our thing at 6519 every single day. It's a hard way to earn a living but it's all we know and we keep at it.
