Bansal Dry Fruits

We are located on the main Alipur Road in Narela, right at number 312. It’s a dusty part of town with all the trucks passing by, but we stay busy inside. The shop is full of sacks and boxes of nuts and raisins. My family has been doing this for some time now. We aren't trying to be some big supermarket. It’s mostly just weighing out bags for people who stop their bikes outside. Some people want almonds, others want cashews, and we just scoop them out by hand. The smell of the walnuts is quite strong in the morning when we first open the shutters. It’s a bit cramped in here because we keep a lot of stock in the back. During the winter, it gets really hectic because everyone wants dry fruits for the cold weather. The rest of the year is more relaxed. We spend a lot of time just cleaning the glass jars. The traffic on Alipur Road can be a headache, especially in the evenings when the sun is setting right in our eyes. We don't do much advertising, people just see the sign and come in. I’ve lived around Narela all my life so I know most of the people who come through. It’s a simple business. We sell what we have and keep the books on the desk near the door. Nothing too complicated about it at all.
