B S R Motors is located right in the heart of the chaos at Kashmere Gate. Specifically, we are at Ganda Nala Bazar, 110/1-A. If you know Delhi, you know this area is famous for auto parts and repairs. It is not a clean or quiet place. There is oil on the ground, the smell of petrol in the air, and the constant sound of metal hitting metal. Our shop is packed with parts for different types of vehicles. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and half the time, you need a ladder just to find what you are looking for. It is a gritty, busy environment where we spend most of the day with grease on our hands. Customers are always coming in looking for something specific, and there is a lot of shouting back and forth over the noise of the traffic outside. The shop doesn't have air conditioning, so it gets pretty hot in the summer, but we just keep the big fans running. It’s the kind of place where you come to get things fixed or to find that one specific bolt you can't get anywhere else. There is no waiting lounge with a TV here. You usually just stand around or sit on a plastic stool while we figure out what’s wrong. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but that is the way it goes at Kashmere Gate every day.
