People know how busy Chandni Chowk gets, especially near Fatehpuri Masjid. We are located right there in Uttam House, up on the second floor. It’s a bit of a climb sometimes if the stairs feel long that day, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Room 321 is where we spend most of our hours. The noise from the street usually comes up through the windows, you can hear the rickshaws and the people shouting down below all day. It’s been this way for a while now. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is done. Usually, patients are already waiting by the time we get the keys in the door. The fan overhead keeps things moving when it gets really humid outside. Some days are just crowded and we try to keep things organized as much as possible with the folders and the chairs. It’s not fancy, just a regular place where people come when they need to see someone about their health. We see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood. It’s funny how you get used to the rhythm of the market outside. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall nearby during a quick break. The 2nd floor gets a bit of a breeze if the weather is right. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a big fuss about it.
