Working at A & P Dry Fruits Llp means being right in the heart of Khari Baoli. If you’ve ever been here, you know it’s one of the most crowded places in Delhi. Our shop is on the second floor of Katra Ishwar Bhawan. It’s an old building with these narrow hallways that are always packed with sacks of nuts and spices. The smell is incredibly strong everywhere you go. We spend our days sorting through almonds, cashews, and raisins. It’s a lot of hand-sorting and checking the bags. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to stack the boxes all the way to the ceiling. It’s a constant struggle to stay organized. Being in S.No.484, we see a lot of traders and laborers moving heavy loads up and down the stairs. It’s a very old way of doing business, mostly based on talking to people and long-term connections. We aren't using fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done on paper and in ledgers. The noise from the street below never really stops. We just focus on the dry fruits and making sure the bags are filled correctly. It’s dusty and loud, but it’s the way things have been done in this market for generations. We are just one small part of that tradition, trying to get through the daily grind without too much trouble. We usually have a quick lunch sitting on the crates.
