Srivastava Mart

Our little shop, Srivastava Mart, is tucked away at House No-21/10/19 in Haji Nagar. We are right on G.P Road, which is a place that stays active from morning until late at night. Being near Naihati, we get a lot of people passing through, but mostly it is just the local families who live around here. The mart is not a huge space, so we have to be careful about how we stack things on the shelves. It’s a lot of work just making sure we don't run out of the basic things people need every day. Sometimes the street gets so crowded that it's hard to move, but that’s life in Haji Nagar. We have been here for a bit now, and we know most of the people who walk through the door by name. It isn't a corporate setup with uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what we have and get to work. The floor gets swept a few times a day because of the dust from G.P Road, but it’s a losing battle sometimes. We focus on the practical side of things, like checking the stock and talking to the neighbors. It’s a humble place, just a regular mart run by regular people who live and work in the same neighborhood. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a spot on the road where you can get what you need.
