Sk. Paddy Supplier

Operating out of Diamond Harbour in the 24 Parganas South district, we’ve been supplying paddy to the local mills and traders for quite a while now. This area is known for its rice, and we are right in the thick of it. During the harvest season, things get incredibly busy around here. There are trucks everywhere and the phone doesn't stop ringing. We spend a lot of time traveling between the different fields and the storage spots to make sure everything is being handled right. It’s not an easy job, especially when the weather turns bad and the roads get flooded, which happens more often than we’d like. We don't have a big corporate office; our base is just a functional space where we can keep our records and meet with the farmers. It’s a lot of mud and hard work, but it’s what we know. My family has been in this trade for a couple of generations, so we have a lot of connections in the villages around Diamond Harbour. We don't use any fancy marketing or have a sales team. We just rely on how the grain looks and the fact that we’ve been reliable for all these years. Some days are long and we don’t get home until late, but that is the nature of the paddy business. We just keep our heads down and get the job done as best as we can.
