Our office is over in New Town at The Terminus, on the first floor. It is a newer part of the city, so things look a bit different here than they do in the older industrial spots. We handle a lot of the back-end work for our cable and conductor business from this location. Even though it is a modern building, our day-to-day is pretty much grounded in the reality of the industry. There are files everywhere and people are always on the phone talking to the factory or the delivery drivers. We spend a lot of time looking at logistics and making sure the inventory matches what the customers are asking for. It gets a bit hectic around the end of the month when everything needs to be settled. We are not the type to have long meetings about vision or anything. We mostly just talk about what needs to get shipped and who is going to handle the paperwork. The tea machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the office besides the computers. People drop in to discuss orders, and we just sit around a desk and figure it out. It is a straightforward environment. We deal with conductors and heavy electrical stuff, so the conversations are usually about technical specs and delivery dates. We just try to keep things moving without too much fuss. It is a job that requires a lot of attention to detail.
