C. T. Fashion

C. T. Fashion is tucked away on the first floor of the Deluxe Complex. We are in Shop No. 4 A, which is in Block A-2. The address is 584 M. B. Road here in Birati. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs but once you’re here, it’s a quiet enough space to work. The shop isn't huge, so we have to be smart about how we store everything. We’ve got racks and some shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a sea of fabric and finished pieces. Being in a complex means we see a lot of the same faces every day from the other shops. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work on the orders. It’s mostly just sewing and checking the fit of things. We’ve been in this specific unit for a while now and we’ve got a system for where everything goes. The lighting isn't the best in the back corner, so we use some extra lamps when we are doing the fine stitching. It’s a lot of hours sitting down, but we take turns going out for snacks. M. B. Road is always humming with traffic, so the noise filters up to us a little bit. We just do our own thing up here on the first floor and keep the shop running as best we can. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we find our way through it every week.
