If you go down Chawkiwala Gali in Sector 27, you’ll find us there. We are in the Atta area, which is always humming with people. Vidya Footwear is just a small local business. We don’t have a massive storefront, but we make use of the space we have. Most of our customers are people who live around the corner or work in the nearby shops. We sell shoes that people actually need for their daily lives. Nothing too over the top. I spend a lot of time in the back of the shop moving boxes around. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We try to keep things like flip-flops, sneakers, and some formal wear for the office goers. The alleyway can get a bit tight when it’s busy, but that’s just part of being in Atta. I’ve been working here for a long time, and I know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. We help each other out. It’s a very grounded way to earn a living. We don't do any big marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes they come in just to see what’s new or to replace a pair of shoes that finally gave out. It’s honest work, and we appreciate the people who keep coming back year after year. The shop is our second home, honestly. We usually stay open until the street lights have been on for a while. It’s a routine that hasn't changed much since we first opened the doors in this little alley.
