Shifa Clinic

Shifa Clinic is located on Jamamasjid road in Sector 8, Noida. Being so close to the Jama masjid means we get to hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which actually gives the place a nice, steady rhythm. It’s a very busy part of Noida to be in. There are people everywhere, and the market nearby is almost always crowded with shoppers. Our clinic is tucked away on the street, and it’s not a very big space. We have some simple wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait for their turn. The walls are covered in some old health posters that have started to fade and curl at the edges over time. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets so hot in this part of the building during the summer months. We know most of the other shopkeepers on Jamamasjid road by their names. We often trade stories with them when things are slow in the afternoons. We aren't a big hospital with hundreds of staff members. It’s just a few of us here making sure everything runs okay for the patients. Sometimes the drain outside gets blocked when it rains heavily, and we have to deal with that mess, but that’s just part of life in Sector 8. We’ve got a small desk where we write everything down in thick ledgers. It feels more real and reliable that way. People come to us because we’ve been here for a while and they know what to expect.
