We've been at B/32 Sector 88 Phase 2 for a while now. It's mostly sawdust and the sound of tools around here. Svelte Furnitures Pvt. Ltd. started because we just liked working with wood. There isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights or anything. Usually, someone is just measuring a board or fixing a joint when you walk in. We spend our days dealing with legs for tables and making sure drawers don't stick. It gets busy, especially when a big order comes in. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to move heavy things around ourselves. People come to us when they need something solid for their house. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle a saw and a planer. The workshop is a bit messy but we know where everything is. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. If the glue needs time to dry, it takes time. You can't rush that kind of thing or the wood won't hold. Most of our tools have been with us since the start. It's not a glamorous job, but it's what we do every day. If you pass by Phase 2, you'll see the sign hanging out front. We aren't big on talk, we just prefer to stay busy with the wood and the finish. It’s quiet work for the most part until the machines turn on. That is just life at the shop.
