Pinky Garments is on the first floor of building A- 54 in Sector- 7. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to get to us, but it’s a good space once you’re inside. Being on the first floor gives us a bit more privacy from the street noise, though you can still hear the market below. We have sewing machines set up near the windows to get the best light. The sound of the needles is pretty much the background music of our day. We have piles of fabric in various colors stacked against the walls. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk right into the work area. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and stitching. Sector 7 is a busy place, but up here it feels a bit more focused. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep our energy up. The fans overhead are old and make a bit of a clicking sound, but they keep us cool enough. It’s not a high-end boutique with bright lights. It’s just a place where we make clothes and try to do a solid job of it. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years and they don't mind the climb up the stairs to see us.
