Can Fashion Pvt. Ltd.

We started Can Fashion Pvt. Ltd. at B 58/c Sector 60 a long time back. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. Most days it is just the sound of the machines and someone complaining about the fan not working right. It gets hot in the summer here in Noida, but we keep the work moving. We make all sorts of clothes, mostly just whatever the orders ask for that week. There are about twenty of us usually. Some have been here since the beginning, others just started last month. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see the rolls of fabric piled up near the entrance because we ran out of shelf space again. The tea stall right outside is our main meeting spot when things get too busy inside. We just try to get the stitching straight and the counts right before the truck comes at the end of the day. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, but it pays the bills and we know each other well enough to joke around while we work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we all just sit on the steps until it comes back. That’s just how it goes in this part of the sector. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the garments are solid and ready to ship out.
