We are right by the railway crossing at D-85 in Sector 10. You can hear the trains going by all day long, which took some getting used to when we first moved in. The gate at the crossing stays down for a while, so traffic gets backed up right in front of our door sometimes. Kanu Exports is just a small operation really. We spend our time checking on shipments and talking to people on the phone. The office is a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, but we try to keep the desks clean. We’ve got a couple of ceiling fans that work overtime in the heat. There’s a small tea stall just down the road where we usually get our morning chai. It’s nothing special, just a place where we do our business every day. Most of the time, the rooms are full of boxes waiting to be moved out. We don’t have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. If a delivery comes, we all help out. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to deal with that yet. We’re more focused on making sure the orders don’t get delayed. It's a simple life here in Sector 10. We open up early and stay until the work is finished, usually hearing that last train whistle before we head out for the night.
