Our place is at A-14 in Sector-42. It’s a fairly straightforward location to find once you get into the sector. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few dedicated people who show up every morning to handle the export side of things. The office is mostly functional. We’ve got some metal cabinets for the files and a big table where we spread out the shipping documents. It’s often a bit messy with paper scraps and samples of the stuff we send out. We don’t really have a waiting room for visitors because most of our business happens over the phone or through email anyway. If someone does drop by, they usually just grab a plastic chair and sit with us. The walls are pretty bare, maybe a calendar or two, because we don’t see the point in decorating a place where we’re just here to work. Sometimes the sector gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, so we’re always wiping down the desks. We deal with all sorts of delays—customs, weather, trucks breaking down—and you just learn to take it in your stride. It’s not a high-rise office with a view, but we like being here. We know the guy who brings the water bottles and the lady who cleans the stairs. It’s a small, practical operation and we just try to get the orders out on time.
