Sas Ground Engineers

Sas Ground Engineers is located at Plot 84 Block E in Roja Jalalpur, Chinchwad. It’s a wide-open area compared to the city center. We have a lot of heavy machinery parked out on the lot. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt, which gets pretty muddy whenever there’s a leak or a storm. We spend a lot of time looking at site plans and dealing with soil samples brought in from different jobs. The office is a portable cabin on the edge of the plot. It gets pretty hot inside during the afternoon, but the AC unit works if you give it a good kick now and then. There are always boots lined up by the door, usually covered in dried mud. We don't really have a reception desk; you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy. Chinchwad is growing fast, so there’s always construction noise nearby. We have a dog that lives under the trailer, we call him Shera. He barks at the delivery trucks but mostly just sleeps in the shade. It’s a rough-and-ready kind of place. We don’t wear suits here. It’s all about the ground and the pipes and the levels. We just show up, do the engineering work, and try to make sure the equipment doesn’t break down before the weekend. Most of the time we succeed, but some days the machines have a mind of their own.
