We are located out in Vill Begumpur Khatola, right near Sector-74. Being away from the main city rush is actually better for what we do at Rattan Organic Foods Pvt Ltd. We deal with food that comes straight from the ground, so being near the village makes sense. It’s a lot of dirt and sun and checking on crops. Sometimes the roads out here get pretty muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a chore to get the trucks in and out. We started this because we liked the idea of knowing exactly what was in our meals. It isn't always easy being organic because pests don't really care about our labels. We spend a lot of time walking the fields and talking to the workers. Our office is a small building that stays pretty cool even in the summer. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It's mostly just us and the family keeping things going day by day. We package things up right here and send them out. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but it feels okay at the end of the day. We are just trying to get some good, clean food to people who want it. If you’re ever passing through Begumpur Khatola, that’s where you’ll find us working away. We don't have fancy signs, just the work we do. It takes a lot of patience to grow things this way, but we don't mind the wait.
