We deal with masalas, so the whole building usually smells like cumin, turmeric, and chili. It’s a strong scent that stays on your clothes even after you go home. Our days start early with the arrival of raw spices. We have people sorting, grinding, and packing all day long. It is a noisy place with the machines running, but it feels like progress. We aren't trying to be some trendy startup. We are a traditional business that values the old way of doing things, even if we use modern machines now. The office part of J-4 is just where we handle the invoices and talk to the distributors. It’s often a bit chaotic with people coming in to pick up their orders. We don’t have a fancy interior designer; we just have shelves full of masala packets. The staff here is like a big family, we’ve been through a lot of busy seasons together. We don't spend money on big ads. We just make sure the spice blend is consistent. It’s a lot of hard work in a dusty environment, but we take pride in what we do.
