Our business is located over in the Special Economic Zone, covering units 166, 168, 169, and 171. It’s a pretty large area to keep track of, spread across several different spaces. When you work in hardware, you’re dealing with a lot of metal, heavy weight, and a bit of grease. Our shelves are lined with everything from tiny little screws to much larger industrial components. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different units to find exactly what’s needed for a specific order. The SEZ is a specific kind of place to work; it’s very industrial and there’s always a lot of security and paperwork at the gates. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the area grow quite a bit. Inside our units, it’s mostly just rows of metal bins and tall racks. It can get a bit chilly in the winter because the ceilings are so high and the floors are concrete, so we usually wear our heavy jackets and drink a lot of tea. We don't really do much in the way of a showroom or display. If you need a specific bolt or a hinge, we just go to the right bin and get it for you. It’s about being organized more than anything else. We spend a lot of time on our feet, checking the stock levels. The air always has a bit of a metallic smell to it.
