Our business, Indian Pipes Pvt. Ltd., is located on the ground floor of B-124 in Sector-6. It’s a pretty standard industrial block. We’ve got a lot of heavy inventory, mostly pipes of all different sizes stacked up in the back. The ground floor is convenient because we don’t have to deal with elevators, but it means we are always dealing with the grime from the street. The space is mostly storage and a small area where we handle the paperwork. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving things from the racks to the loading area. The air smells a bit like iron and oil. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a sales team. Usually, it’s just the owner or one of the staff members answering the phone when it rings. We’ve been in Sector-6 for a few years now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. The trucks come in the morning, and we spend the afternoon organizing what’s left. It’s not a glamorous job. We wear old clothes because they’re going to get dirty anyway. Sometimes the gate gets stuck, or the lights flicker, but we just fix it and move on. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the orders are correct and the pipes get to where they’re supposed to go. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy through the week. We just keep our heads down.
