New Horizons India Ltd operates out of Jal Vayu Vihar in Sector 21, Noida. Being in a residential sector makes the workday feel a bit different than being in a big industrial hub. It's much quieter, except for the occasional car horn or a vegetable seller passing by outside. Our address at R 344 is easy to find if you know the sector well. The office is basically a converted space that we’ve made our own over the years. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee, though the machine is a bit finicky and only works when it wants to. There are windows that look out onto the street, and we see the same people walking their dogs every morning. It’s a nice change from the gray buildings in other parts of the city. We don't have a huge staff, just a handful of us who have been together for a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at our desks. Sometimes we bring in snacks from home to share during the afternoon slump. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide a place for the work to happen in a neighborhood we actually like. The commute isn't too bad for most of us, which is a big plus in a place like Uttar Pradesh. It’s a steady, quiet routine we have here. We might not be the most exciting place to work, but we get things done.
